Getting sick is not that terrible, yet feeling alone during sickness is dreadful. It is meaningful for me to work as a volunteer in the Hospice Centre. I can offer my support to the patients who fight hard against their disease and comfort their distressing families. I can’t help them with their physical pain, but 1 can lend my ears to them. I can listen to their worries, give them advice and comfort them. Most importantly, I help them understand that the meaning of life lies not in longevity. They need to learn how to release. Cherish the moment, life will become more beautiful. Hau Chun
