About Toileting
If patients have impaired mobility, handrails can be installed next to the toilet seat to facilitate toileting
For patients with difficulties in going to the toilet, assistive devices such as urinal, bed pan or commode chair can help to solve the problem
Can consider placing a ramp at the toilet entrance to facilitate the access of commode chair
May also add a non-slip strip with sharp colour contrast on the threshold to make it more visible
Consult your occupational therapist in case of any questions.
